The Downtown Bakery & Deli is a great place for lunch. I order there often and I enjoy the staff as well as the service. I have never had a complaint about how my order was handled and the food is very fresh and delicious.

I LIVE IN HAWAII FOR A LONG TIME. THE TODAI USED TO BE GOOD, THEN JUNK, THEN JUNK FOREVER. A LOT OF PEOPLE GO THERE SIMPLY BECAUSE BIRTHDAY PERSON GETS A FREE MEAL. I DID NOT NEED MUCH SERVICE SINCE IT'S A BUFFET, AND THE ATMOSPHERE OF THAT PLACE WAS NO BETTER THAN SCHOOL CAFETERIA OR FOOD COURT.ONCE I BROUGHT MY COUSIN FROM JAPAN THERE AND I WAS SO EMBARRASSED TO SEE WHAT KINDA FOOD THEY SERVED. SUSHI WERE MUCH WORSE THAN GENKI SUSHI, WHICH WAS ONLY OK BY MY STANDARD. ONE MORE TIME WAS MY BIRTHDAY; MIGHT BECAUSE WE WENT KINDA LATE, AROUND 8:20PM,, I COULD NOT EVEN FIND ANY DECENT FOOD. FOR ABOUT $30 A HEAD, I GUESS THAT RESTAURANT'S GOT A GOOD LOCATION SO THE TOURISTS WOULD GO, THAT'S ABOUT THE ONLY GOOD THING THERE. I WOULD SUGGEST SOME HOTELS' BUFFETS, OR MAKINO CHAYA OVER TODAI ANYTIME.

Dinner and the service was very good.. I had the steak and shrimp, it was excellent,My boyfriend had the steamed snapper--and he stated it's the best fish he had in a long time..He took me there for dinner for my birthday-we had a great time and hands up to our server/host Jarret..Good Job--see you soon. price reasonable..We enjoyed our seating the 2nd level on the railing side. when we return we would like that seating again..We would like to try your dessert next time..not to mention the bread and spread was ono..see you all in the next coming month.. or sooner
