Noodles & Company
7320 Baltimore Ave, College Park, Capitol Heights,
NOODLES & COMPANY ROCKS!! Love their butter noodles with grilled chicken!! If you love chicken like me I get extra chicken! I haven't tried it with the beef yet!! Not interested in anything else on the menu, but I live in Greenbelt and go over there quite often. It is a little busy during the school year but it's worth the wait!!

Khanh's Restaurant
335 S Winchester Blvd, San Jose, Lexington Hills,
Very slow service. Food was not too bad until I found plastic pieces in the plate. It looked like a bag containing shredded pork. While eating dinner, no one came to ask how the meal was. Of course, I was trying to get a person to show the 'plastic bag pieces' on my plate, not successful. I even took a picture of the pieces. When I received the bill, I pointed out the problem. At least they offered 10% off the dish ($1.60 off). Oh well, better than nothing. At least I was told that Chef was warned with the issue (really? I don't know). I don't think I will bother to go here again. Just overpriced dishes for such a low quality food.

Superbowl Vietnamese Restaurant
10971 N Wolfe Rd, Cupertino, Lexington Hills,
Horrible: Went there with my bf, his pho had hair inside the meat. So he sent it back. The waiter brought back some pho. My bf found sprouts and leaves in the pho. Then I ask him, what was wrong, then he told me, he was the one that put the spout and leaves in before. So the waiter brought back the same bowl. What horrible act to play. The waiter lied to his face. It wasn't a new bowl, it was the same.

ZAO Noodle Bar
261 University Ave, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale,
This is my second time at this restaurant. The first time, I wasn't impressed and I haven't been back for many years. I thought I'd give this place another try since my kids really like noodles and it was on the way home. Conclusion: this place is unbelievably bad. Noodles are so overcooked they looked like a clump of hair from the shower drain. You couldn't pick up one noodle out of the bunch without picking up the entire clump. 'Al dente' is NOT in the cooking staff's vocabulary. Everything's overcooked because they pre-cook the noodles. The kitchen wouldn't make a fresh batch, only more reheated noodles in varying lengths of time. They need to understand that once the noodle is overcooked, reheating it doesn't make it less mushy. If I could give this place a 'minus' food rating I would, but the lowest I can give them is 1 star. What I don't understand is what other people see in this place when their noodle dishes are so bad...they are a noodle house and a bad one at that. Don't waste your money. Lots of OTHER good to great places to choose from in the Bay area.

O Restaurant
330 Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, North Miami,
Well, we thought the website looked interesting. When we walked in, the front noodle shop reminded us of our trip to Japan... hot (no A/C) and mainly noodles. This can't be it we said! The web site seemed so sophisticated. So we notice a door towards the back, and we continued into a very trendy, south-beachy bar. Where there should have been a hostess stand, there was nothing. So we proceeded to ask one of the employees who directed us upstairs. We saw no hostess upstairs either, but there were more tables and a nice atmosphere. The waiters were confused, and decided to seat us. 15 minutes later, after we'd ordered drinks, the hostess asks us to move because this table was reserved. We explained that we didn't mean to bypass her, but she started in with the attitude (not just what she said, but how she said it). She wanted us to go downstairs and wait on the list. When we first arrived, the place was empty. Needless to say we didn't get a chance to taste their food. The menu looked good, but from the awful attitude of the hostess, we lost our appetite for this place. Hopefully your experience will be better. Just watch out for the snotty attitude, and be sure to make reservations.

Kitakata Japanese Restaurant
20 E Golf Rd, Arlington Heights, Itasca,
My friend recommended Kitakata, and she was right! The food is GREAT, and the price is so much more reasonable than most Japanese restaurants. The waitstaff is helpful and nice. The decor is, well, dull, but I loved the shamisan (I think) music. I would recommend Kitakata Japanese Restaurant to anyone!

Ollie's Noodle Shop & Grille
1991 Broadway, New York, Crown Heights,
I have been to most of the Ollies restaurants in NYC; mainly the one on 116th St across from Columbia. The staff at the 116th street Ollies is okay for the exception of two of its female waitresses who are just horrible (especially the one with the short hair). There is also this one waiter (during his breaks) who eats his noodles at one of the neighboring tables with loud slurping noises which is very annoying. A few months ago I ordered a few dishes with one minor request to omit a certain vegetable I didn't like from one of their dishes. The waitress proceeded to bring me the wrong dish, then the right dish with the vegetable I requested not to have put in! I of course sent them back both times because these were really simple orders that they should have gotten right the 1st time. After about 25 minutes the food finally came. When we finished, we received the bill and decided to leave this waitress a 10% tip due to the fact there were some glitches. As we were about to leave, we handed her the money, she took a look at it right in front of us and said to us in broken English, "15 percent, you don't (should have said didn't) give me 15 percent", and brought the bill back to us! I pointed out to this thick headed waitress that not only did she screw up our order once, it happened twice! I'll add that throughout all of these mishaps, the waitress did not apologize once for messing up the order. I finally just threw a 5 dollar bill on the table and left disgusted. I had a word with the manager, he seemed to be quite understanding and said he'd take care of the problemed waitress. Fast forward to one month later when I again visited the restaurant again. That same waitress was still there. So obviously customer service is not one of their top priorities.
