I went there a couple of months ago with my husband and a friend of ours. The service is excellent. I don't remember the name of what we ordered, but it was very good. I have been there three times and every time I go, I order the same thing. The food is prepared right before your eyes and there is people around the table that you probably don't even know. At first, it can be uneasy, but once you see the guy cooking, you forget about the rest of the world. It is pretty fun watching the guy cook and trying to get people to catch a shrimp with their mouth only! I find it somewhat fancy, but you don't have to go all dressed up. I really love the combination of the meats with the veggies and the rice is so good. They give you some dipping sauce for the meat. The salad is very good and the soup has an excellent flavor. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant.

Very good sushi! Great presentation. The service is good, given I have been there several times during the busy dinner rush. Price is right too. Definitely prefer Kato's vs. Kumori (where the sushi is ok, the service is terrible).

The best restaurant in all of Salisbury, NC. Fantastic food every time. Chefs provide some good entertainment, and the restaurant as a whole has a wonderful atmosphere. Meals are reasonably priced as well.

Best japanese food around (that's not cooked at your table). Taste is excellent and the prices are great! I crave this place, and although I am close to Welcome and Winston Salem, where there are 2 other japanese places, I will always travel the extra 15 minutes to get this food!

Yumi Restaurant

This is my first time commenting on a restaurant, but I certainly felt it was warrented given my recent experience at Yumi. I was there for my first time a couple of weeks ago for lunch. The food was outstanding, combining taste, artistic presentations, and creative combinations. Although the lunch crowd was a bit thin, I hear the place gets very busy for dinner. I don't recall exactly what I had, but do know I tried the shrip cone app. as someone else reccomeded and it was great. The pace of service was perfect. We all ordered multiple rolls and didn't get the typical throw everything on one plate service. Every roll came out as a seperate course, keeping the meal very entertaining and relaxing. I highly reccomend this place and will travel there again (repeatedly I think).

From delicious sushi to amazing teriyaki osho is the best. The sashimi is always fresh from the market and the teriyaki is the best. Lots of interesting seafood like oysters and conch. Everything is decorated so beatifully and creatively. Highly recommended.
