Beethoven's Restaurant & Steak Hous
110 W Peoria St, Paola, Paola,
Beethoven's Restaurant. NEVER AGAIN. My family and I have lived in Paola, KS for over a decade. One visit to Beethoven's was plenty. At best, the food was mediocre. Mine tasted like something off the lunch menu at Denny's. Nothing special, just O.K and certainly pricier. My wife's steak was horrendous-far below the meat quality found in a ninety nine cent freezer meal (I tried it and agreed with her completely). It was like meat loaf without the meat-just kind of "loafy". Usually, I'm not the type to compain. However, I decided to voice my opinion and spoke with the owner. He informed me that, despite the fact that my wife found it to be awful, there was nothing wrong with it. He didn't offer to do anything-no replacement meal, no reimbursement, nothing. She had barely touched it. He did ask me if my wife was pregnant, though, and informed me that pregnant women sometimes do not taste properly. I informed him she was certainly not pregnant-if she had heard him say that she would have hit the roof. He finally suggested that my wife simply "wasn't hungry for steak". We paid our bill, left and went to Sonic. NOT recommended. Two and a half out of ten for their product. Zero out of ten for the proprietor and his lack of concern and failure to admit the possibility that he had prepared a bad meal. An aplogy and a willingness to try and make something right will do wonders for me. Didn't happen here. I am divorced and remarried now. My blushing bride has asked me if I'm ever going to take her to Beethovin's. Aint gonna happen!

their salads are creative, refreshing, and generous. Our guests have repeatedly told us how they liked this restaurant when we took them there on their visits. Service is down to earth, efficient, and friendly

I liked the food and service very much. The best potato soup I ever had. Lots of my co-workers go to Lauderdale by the Sea and I told them to eat at the Ambry. They all like it very much.

Matterhorn Swiss Restaurant
2323 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, Tiburon,
This place is not good for large loud parties and is very overpriced. You have to have a very strong love for swiss cheese because that is pretty much the only choices you have when it comes to the cheese fondue and the bread had a weird taste. We have excellent service except for the misunderstanding with the bill, there is not fondue for one even though it is listed on the menu. The only good part of the meal was the chocolate fondue because who can go wrong with chocolate.

Rosamunde Sausage Grill
545 Haight St, San Francisco, Tiburon,
This is a great local sausage stop. I would most definitely recommend this place to any locals as a quick stop for great sausages. At least go once if you don't live near by, and if you visit haight-ashbury its not too far away. The food is great and only five bucks, which is great because its a filling meal, easily lunch or dinner. Even better you can take your food next door to the bar and eat it there with your favorite beer! Sausages range from the basics to more exotic (duck) and spicy (Cajun). You'll have to come back to try them all!

The service was good and the restaurant was cute. However the saurbraten was the worst I ever had. Two slices of plain pot roast with no flavor. The gravy was bland and very disappointing. I would not go back ever.
