Center Food Market
113 Main St, Manasquan, South Belmar,
I have lunch here at least once a week. I jokingly call this place the center food markup, because its a bit expensive for a sandwich shop. However the quality is very good. The sandwiches are made to order with great care. I am a picky eater and I really do not enjoy lunch meats, however I like some of the hot and cold sandwiches from center food market. The line can be a bit long here at lunch time so try and beat the noon rush by eating early or try after 2:00 when the crowd tends to settle down. (locals secret) You can call in an order over the phone and then skip the line and go straight to the back counter to save yourself a long wait. When its cooler out, I love the soups. CFM has awsome corn chowder and excellent cream of chicken soup. Now some people may not get excited by soup but honestly this is excellent well prepared creamy chicken soup and it is just fantastic. The salads are good, fresh and made daily. If your a picky eater or a person who likes a good quality deli sandwich then CFM is the place. I take cleints and office guests here often and all enjoy the food and country store atmosphere. Seating here can be limited. The line can be long. It can be a bit expensive for a lunch ( I often spend 12.00 on a roastbeef sandwich, cookie soda and chips). But the quality of the food is very good. The place is clean. the staff is slow but methodical in preparing the food. The most confusing bit about CFM is the lack of information or direction given to where one should stand in line. (Local hint) while looking at the large menu on the wall behind the counter, one can look too their right and see a line which forms from the register towards the door, so figure out what you want and then casually take your place at the end of the line. enjoy
