This facility is not the fanciest Veterinary you will ever go to but they usually do a great job and their cost cannot be beat. I have taken my dog there ever since I have had him and I have not had any complaints ... until recently. Usually Dr. Keil looks at my dog for all his visits and he is excellent! But yesterday I had a small built lady, whom I've never seen before - she must be new, look at my dog and give him his annual shots and check up. I think she is in the wrong profession. I have never been so upset. She didn't even great my dog or let him smell her when she came into the office. When she saw my dog she said "oh" and looked terrified. My non aggressive dog winced on the 2 injections she gave him- something he has never done. She stood as far away from my dog as humanly possible on all occasions, thus not doing her job or giving the injections as well as she could if she got close to my dog like vets usually do. When giving the medication that goes up the dog???s nose, she had to mussel my dog and gets 2 assistants in to man handle my dog and she still struggled to give the medicine. My dog that has never been a problem at the vet when Dr. Keil has seen him and I will not allow that lady to come near my dog ever again. She has made my life harder after this incident, as a dog that only had good vet experiences will now not be the same the next time I have to take him to the vet based on this last experience.

Jean is not only an excellent dog trainer, but she is awesome when it comes to pet boarding. She is always going above and beyond for the happiness and well-being of the pets that stay there. It's just a shame that she is having to start over after the hurricane wiped her out. I commend her for evacuating with over 50 dogs that were in her care. Before you go anywhere else, check her out.

This place doesn't just get you in and then get you out in a hurry. They treat you and your pets like any doctor should--with kindness, consideration, and love. My dog actually likes to come here. The best of the westbank!!
