Alice at Natural Therapeutic Care helped me tremendously. I injured my neck doing a headstand attempting a Yoga routine. I had very little experience with this type of exercise and I did not warm up. What a mistake! Consequently I injured 2 discs in my neck. It was extremely painfull and I couldn't move my head, neck or shoulders. The doctor at the emmergency room strongly recommended that I make an appointment with a neurologist. They gave me some pain killers in the meantime, which made me dizzy and I had to stop taking them. I continued to be in excruciating pain and my neurologist appointment was a week away. I called right away and was able to receive 3 back to back accupressure treatments the very next day and the day after. The relief from pain was instant and in 2 very short days I was able to resume movement of my head and shoulders again. When I finally made it to the neurologits and had my MRI examined the doctor could not believe how well I was doing and how little discomfort I had. My symptoms did not match the picture in the MRI. The neurologist was so impressed with my progress in such a very short time with the acupressure treatments, he decided not to put me in a neck brace and skipped the bed rest , which would have been the usual treatment in my condition and only prescribed muscle relaxers.The combination of Natural Therapeutic Care treatments and the muscle relaxers had me back at work and pain free the following week.
