Listing review
I eat out at a lot of places during the week, but I have to say that it has been a long time since I have had service and food the way I did tonight. When we arrived at Applebee's in El Dorado, Arkansas the greeting that we recieved was weak. The greeter then sat us and gave us a menu. We had our 2 year old with us and she was never given the kids menu or even crayons to color with. After sitting for a good 10 minutes our waitress finally arrived to take our order. Our drinks were brought to us with very little ice in the glasses and was still never asked about our daughter. We ordered a couple of appetizers onion rings and chips and cheese dip. The chips tasted old along with the dip. The onion rings were close to being done but lacked flavor to enjoy. We then recieved our food that we all thought would be food of great taste, but we were wrong. The steak and barbeque I had was great to taste no complaints there, but they did not have the fries cooked so that is what was brought to me until they were finished. The fries that my wife recieved were not even completely done. The bake potato that my mom ordered was so cold that the butter would not melt. We had the server take it and was never offered a replacement or something to even make up the difference. My poor grandma who only got coffee and water to drink was only given one cup of coffee the whole time. She even said that her dinner was less that eatable. We sat and waited for our bill to see how much such horrible service and food would cost and another server come up behind us and was talking to the greeter and said outloud for everyone to hear oh crap(except she used the other word which everone knows what is) that is supposed to be my table. That is not something I like to hear from someone working in a professional public place with 2 year olds around. It's one thing if it someone that is eating there or is a customer but another to be an employee. Anyway we recieved our bill and it came out to be almost $69.00. We were never asked how was everthing or even if we had a problem at all. I was so disappointed in a place that I loved to go eat at. If that is suppose to be one of the best places our town has to offer it is no wonder everything is closing down and everyone is starting to move off. I think it is time for a change for our public places especially our restaurants.
